Volunteer roles and duties may include:
- Workshop Assistant
- Exhibition Attendant
- Front of House / Information Assistant
Volunteer opportunities will commence from as early as April 2023 for pre-festival admin help, but will mostly be concentrated to the Festival dates, 17 - 27 May 2023. The DreamBIG Children’s Festival team hope that all volunteers will be available for at least one of the days of our Big Family Weekend 20 – 21 May 2023.
Shifts are generally 5 hours long, from 9am–2pm at Adelaide Festival Centre and surrounding city venues (including a short lunch break). We ask that all applicants who join the team aim to volunteer for approximately 5 days each over the Festival (including our Volunteer Induction briefing).
If you can only offer us a day or two, we still welcome your application as we may require extra help on some days, however preference will be given to those applicants with more time to give.
Applications will open in late 2022 for the 2023 DreamBIG Children's Festival.
DreamBIG are looking for a very limited number of volunteers for our 2023 program. Our volunteers are carefully selected to represent the festival in the best way possible. Preference is given to those who already have a DSCI clearance to work with children.
All registered volunteers will be covered by Adelaide Festival Centre Trust Voluntary Workers Insurance Policy, and it is a requirement that all successful applicants complete a Volunteer Induction and sign a Volunteer Agreement, accepting the AFCT Volunteers Policy. Volunteers must act in a manner which is safe and does not put themselves, others, or the Festival at risk. More information will be available if successful.
